I’ve always been a vintage bag collector since I was in college. Designer vintage bags just
have a beauty that doesn’t get old. And because they’re such rare pieces of
fashion artistry, I try to find some of the rarest ones.
Nowadays, it’s hard to find those limited edition
vintage
bags in Singapore, especially those that were released in the early 90s and
even late 80s. And if you do find some, they’re in such distasteful condition
that I can’t add them to my collection.
During my search, I came across The Fifth
Collection’s website that claimed they
sell pre owned authentic handbags. This really piqued my interest since
it’s possible that they have some unique designer vintage bags.
And I was not disappointed! I saw so many
designer bags on their site that really surprised me since it’s hard to find
those kinds of Vintage designer bags. Though I was feeling a little sceptical
of the quality since they were pre owned. I didn’t want to spend money on a
site that claims to sell designer vintage bags but are actually selling bogus
items.
Before I tell you of my experience with The
Fifth Collection, here’s a little background on them:
The Fifth Collection is an online store
that sells vintage outfits, accessories, and bags. They cater to the vintage
fashionistas like me that are trying to revive the late 80’s fashion. On top of
designer vintage bags, they also
sell high-class vintage fashion accessories like watches and belts. Their
collections and accessories come from big-ticket designer names like Georgio
Armani, Vero Moda, and Bulgari.
My first purchase with The Fifth Collection
was a Chanel vintage bag I already have in my collection. I purchased it to see
if their products are good quality. The item came within a few days, which I
think was a good service.
When the pre owned vintage bag came, I was
really surprised – it was in really good condition! I compared it with the
similar Chanel bag that I have in my collection. And they look and feel the
same. Even the seams and leather feel the same.
Apparently, they check and appraise the
item before posting it on the website, so you can be sure that it’s still in
good condition. Because of this, I was really sold into the idea that they have
pre owned authentic handbags that are in almost mint condition.
So, since I was already sure they have pre
owned designer bags for sale, I really went over their library for
something nice to buy. They’re always looking for new vintage fashion pieces
and accessories, so sometimes you can see there are some new and unique choice
on their website.
And that’s when I found that really nice
and hard-to-find Louis Vuitton leather bag. I’ve been trying to look for it
since it was such a popular design before, but I never find that’s in the right
condition. So when I saw that posting in The Fifth Collection, I didn’t
hesitate to grab it!
It was perhaps the most wonderful deal for
me. The bag came through delivery after a few days I bought it online and I
felt that my collection was really growing. I got a really rare designer
vintage bag and it was in really nice condition. I can never forget that
purchase ever!
